A few weeks ago, I jotted down a reminder note: Research writing awards. I added this to my already long list of things to do. Serendipity struck a few days ago, when the folks at Query Letter.com sent me a link to their list of writing contests. It’s a long list since it covers a wide range of genres from adventure writing, to memoir, thriller and poetry.
Here’s the intro and the all important link:
“A successful entry in a writing competition can be a significant boost for an author’s career, providing exposure and potentially even leading to a publishing deal. They also provide fantastic motivation to get a work finished, to hone your writing, and to test yourself against your peers. Some also offer cash prizes—always welcome! In this list, we showcase over 270 of the best writing contests out there, in a variety of genres.“

I’m planning to crawl through it soon!
