Golf is my husband’s passion … ergo, it is also a favourite activity of mine even though my game is much less than stellar than his. A few days ago, we had the good fortune to play at Cabot Links, which is located on Canada’s Cape Breton Island, a place of rugged beauty and stunning views.
This round of golf coincided with the main character of my latest manuscript being trapped in a cottage on the ocean near Plymouth, Massachusetts. My characters are always in the back of my mind so as I was walking from tee to tee, I became more and more excited. Each view gave me a new idea.
I’m not sure how I will incorporate all these into the story, but I’m convinced they will change it!

Such a beautiful series of photos. Thank you.
One never knows from where inspiration will arise! And we’ve had lovely weather here in Nova Scotia, so all the more enjoyable for your golf game.
I love that. My very, very first lines for my series came from a walk in the mountains with a friend’s dog. Five years later, when I sat down to start writing the books, I did not change it.
