HNS Denver Conference – what a blast!

Screen Shot 2015-07-02 at 5.36.31 PMFrom June 25th to June 29th, I was in Denver at the Historical Novel Society conference. Over 440 attendees at this wonderful event aimed at exploring a wide range of topics connected to historical fiction. A chance to meet and greet virtual friends, an opportunity to learn from well-known authors and to be inspired by special guest speakers including Diana Gabaldon, C.C. Humphrey and Karen Cushman.

From name tags sporting your specialties and the eras you write about — mine said WWI Fiction and Reader Surveys — to pitches with agents, late night sex scene readings and a two hour book signing with over 50 authors, those in charge delivered as promised!

This is a shout-out to the Board: Ann Chamberlin, Maryka Biaggio, Susie Pruett, Meenoo Mishra, Theresa Guzman Stokes, Daniel Willis and Jane Steen.

Can’t wait for 2017.

    1. Hi Jenny … what a lovely thing to say 🙂 Many thanks for your interest – it’s a labour of love! And so many fascinating insights. Might have to write a book about it all someday.
